The properties of lanthanide(III) complexes of cyclen derivatives containing three methylphosphonate pendant arms are reported. The stability constants were determined as well as the dissociation kinetics of the cerium(III) complexes. Structural properties were determined by solution NMR and luminescence measurements. A relaxometric study of the complex of H6do3p1ol with Gd3+ was also undertaken.
