Diels–Alder (DA) click chemistry is an efficient post-functionalization method for organic-modified polyoxomolybdates. The DA reaction can be carried out under mild conditions, with high yields and without the use of any additives or catalysts; it provides easy access to a new class of complex polyoxometalate–organic hybrids with novel architecture or value-added functionalities.
