A new silica-based hybrid material containing carbon nanotubes and well-distributed silver nanoparticles was obtained by the sol–gel process. An electrochemical sensor containing the material presented good peak separation between hydroquinone, catechol, and resorcinol. The species could be determined simultaneously with a low detection limit and without any interference between them.
