Inductive and mesomeric effects of the C60 sphere have been quantified through the determination of the Hammett and Taft constants σp, σI and σR. The molecular model used in this study was a [60]fulleropyrrolidine with an acidic hydrogen linked to a carbon atom α to both a carbonyl group and a C60 fragment. The goal was reached by a combined experimental and theoretical approach.
