This paper presents the understanding of a meshless solver for high Reynolds number flow simulation. The effect of misalignment between geometry and flow is studied both theoretically and numerically, and a weighted meshless solver is found to behave excellently and yield acceptable result even with a large misalignment. A meshless solver is found to suffer from accuracy degradation in case of a large curvature, especially its wall-normal component. A hybrid finite difference/meshless strategy is developed to recover the designed accuracy.
