Two novel XPG mutations were detected from patients with mild xeroderma pigmentosum phenotype. Functional analyses demonstrate these novel mutations lead to important reduction capacity in the repair of UV-induced DNA lesions, but do not affect the repair of oxidatively generated DNA lesions.
