Using the spectra decomposition by linear combination of reference spectra, we propose to extract quantitative parameters from Raman hyperspectral maps in the case of solid-state samples. This approach is applied to ancient corroded iron samples coming from the Amiens cathedral (France) to establish the description and the composition of the corrosion system through quantitative phase mapping. The global phase quantities proposed will supply data for calculating some ‘protectivity ratio’ which could document the system stability.
