A large scale zero-mode waveguide array is constructed by precise lithographic technology and followed by electroless silver deposition, generating a surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy-active stacked plasmonic network. Within a nanometric aperture, massive Raman enhancements are obtained, enabling to perform single molecule detection in nanoscale compartment.
