The use of a light-emitting diode based experimental setup for collecting polarization-resolved Raman spectra with good spectral resolution is demonstrated. The combination of a commercial red light-emitting diode (630 nm), a 1-nm bandwidth laser-line filter, and a polarizing prism is used as a light source. An excellent agreement with corresponding laser Raman spectra is obtained.
