The effects of chain directional change and branching on stereocomplex crystallization behavior from the melt of enantiomeric equimolar poly(L-lactide)(PLLA)/poly(D-lactide) (PDLA) blends are investigated using linear 1-arm, 2-arm, and branched 4-arm PLLA and PDLA having wide ranges of molecular weights. The effects of chain directional change and branching slightly and largely disturb stereocomplex crystallization.
