The brush-first ROMP method is applied to the synthesis of two- and three-miktoarm brush-arm star polymers (BASPs) with photodegradable cores. These particles undergo intramolecular phase-segregation to form Janus-like assemblies. UV irradiation induces core degradation, which switches the assembly pathway from Janus particles to micelles.
