Fe diffused into the CIGS layer from stainless steel substrate will hinder the growth of CIGS grains along (112) orientation. Fe occupies In site, resulting in the increase of (112)-free-surface energy. It will promote (220) orientation of CIGS thin film. The surface of (220)-textured CIGS thin film on the SS substrate still has (220) predominance, whereas that on the Mo/SLG substrate became (112) predominant.
