Well-defined β-cyclodextrin-centered seven-arm poly(ε-caprolactone) stars have been synthesized via controlled ring-opening polymerization. The molecular weight and arm length of the star polymers could be well controlled by the molar ratio of the monomer to the β-CD multifunctional initiator. Amphiphilic seven-arm star poly(ε-caprolactone-b-ethylene glycol)s have been prepared by coupling reaction and their micellization behaviors were characterized by DLS and TEM.
