Peptide-based block copolymers self-assemble into a variety of pH and temperature-responsivenanostructures. Recent advances in the synthesis of these materials allow for control of molecular weight, and further allow modification to afford topologically complex molecules. This article gives an overview of some recent work in the aqueous self-assembly of peptide-based linear and star block copolymers.
