Introducing N-doped graphene sheets (NGS) into MFe2O4 enhances lithium storage performance by improving the electrical conductivity of the composites and preventing the self-aggregation. The subsequent reduction of the oxides to the metal@oxide core–shell structure increases the catalytic activity for oxygen reduction reaction by accelerating the electron transport from the catalytic active oxide layer to a highly conductive support NGS.
