Magnetomicelles are prepared by combining iron oxide nanoparticles with poly(ethylene glycol-b-caprolactone) (PEG-PCL) block copolymers. Magnetic measurements reveal that interparticle magnetic interactions and specific absorption rate are affected by PCL size. The results have implications for the use of magnetomicelles for magnetic fluid hyperthermia and magnetically actuated drug delivery.
