Immobilized carbonic anhydrase on phosphate ultrasound assembled hybrid organic–inorganic nanoporous microparticles with high surface area interacts efficiently with alkanolamine solvent used for CO2 sequestration. These hierarchically structured particles show an unprecedented stability in tertiary amines and enable separation and facile re-use.
