A general method is reported to identify functional peptides and improve their activities, leading to generation of peptides of a pM ordered-dissociation constant.

The key of this technology is in utilizing the information obtained in the previous selection. Namely, the next library for the selection is generated by the combination of the selection products from the preceding library with the construct of peptide-spacer-peptide, which is termed as a paired peptide (p&p) method.
