Temperature dependences of the critical stresses, σMs, σAf and σ0, in the stress-induced transformation for TiNi specimens annealed at 473 K for 0, 50 and 150 min are shown in the image. Accompanied by the appearance of several nanometer-size Ti3Ni4-like precipitates with ageing, the emergence of superelasticity tends to be strong, suggesting a stabilization of the parent phase. In this article, effects of Ti3Ni4 precipitates on superelastic properties at low temperatures are discussed.
