The three main factors affecting the stability of a palletized load that is unitized by stretch wrapping mechanism are the type of unitized load, wrapping configuration and shipping method. The study showed that containment force is generally higher at the top and bottom than the middle section of the unitized load. There is no evidence suggesting an association between initial containment force and different levels of prestretch.
