Xenon atoms interact weakly and reversibly with different molecular systems, including in the human body. Brønsted acid–noble atom complexes, formed through hydrogen bonding, of Xe are compared with those of Ne, Ar, and Kr using Bader's Quantum Theory of Atoms in Molecules. Special attention is given to the interaction between Xe and water due to its potential relevance in biological systems.
