In this paper, we propose an integer linear programming formulation for power equalization placement in transparent optical networks to limit the potential propagation of high-powered jamming attacks.

Evaluation results show that our proposed integer linear programming formulation is able to solve moderately sized problems to optimality in reasonable time. The results also support the efficiency of our previously proposed heuristic for the problem.
