A new form of carbon nanoflakes on various oxide nanostructures is fabricated based on a unique thermal-induced interaction between atomic layer deposition (ALD)-Al2O3 and glucose. The carbon flakes can increase the electrical conductivity and specific surface areas, leading to evident increase in specific capacitance of the oxide nanostructure electrodes.
