With an in-situ one-pot chemical approach, a highly efficient conjugated microporous polymer-based catalyst for the Suzuki reaction is synthesized. The unique Pd/microporous polyphenylene cluster exhibits not only a high surface area, high gradient pore size distribution, and monodisperse and highly stabilized Pd clusters, but also a very high catalytic activity for a broad scope of Suzuki reactions in aqueous media under aerobic conditions with good yield, and high turnover number and turnover frequency values.
