The paper investigates multi-group linear turbo equalization which uses single antenna interference cancellation technique to mitigate intercell interference for multi-carrier code division multiple access cellular systems. The complexity of the receiver is low as the one-tap minimum mean square error equalizer is employed for mitigating intracell interference, while a simple group interference canceller is used for suppressing intercell interference. Simulation results show that the proposed iterative receiver can mitigate the intercell interference effectively for both uncoded and coded signals.
