Cerebellar lesion patients show intact behavioural performance on a saccadic double-step task. A positive ERP component 150–450 ms after first saccade onset in the updating condition reflecting efference copy based sensorimotor integration was reduced in patients. The cerebellum contributes to on-line saccade monitoring, and lesions alter saccade-related efference copy processing. These findings further elucidate the mechanisms underlying saccadic updating and cerebellar predictive motor control.
