We conducted petrographic, isotopic, and fluid inclusion analyses on a set of bed-parallel veins that can be traced for over 400 m. The results indicate that the vein-forming fluids were homogeneous and derived from downward-percolating meteoric water and upward-flowing, low salinity, basinal brine. The paleohydrological system that formed the veins was uniform at scales of hundreds of meters to kilometers.
