Associations between domestic endotoxin exposures and wheezing symptoms and diurnal peak flow variation were examined among children with reported asthma or wheeze. The association between endotoxin exposure and exacerbations in children with asthma has been infrequently studied and the findings suggest that endotoxin exposure may worsen asthma in this group.
