We identified a novel mechanism of regulation of PTPRJ expression. Here, overexpression of miR-328 decreased both protein and mRNA levels of PTPRJ in HeLa and SKBr3 cells. PTPRJ was assessed to be a direct target and functional target gene of miR-328. We propose that this interaction is responsible for the miR-328-dependent increase of epithelial cellular proliferation.
