The mouse hypothalamus miRNAs were profiled by using deep sequencing. Among the miRNAs that are highly expressed in the hypothalamus, we found that miR-24 regulates oxytocin expression in vitro. This finding expands the potential mechanisms for regulation of hypothalamo-neurohypophyseal hormones.
