Abstract

This chapter describes charge‐coupled device (CCD) detectors. CCD detector assembly and calibration are described as well as the correction of data from CCD detectors. Integration of detector systems with hardware and data‐acquisition software is covered and the use of CCD detectors in macromolecular crystallography is discussed.
