Advertising Information

The AJPA is the primary professional journal for physical anthropologists in the United States and abroad. Its readership includes human paleontologists, osteologists, anatomists, geneticists, primatologists, and forensic scientists. As the official publication of the American Association of Physical Anthropologists, it serves as the main clearinghouse for the association, including the annual meetings abstracts and various announcements. It is read by virtually every college-level faculty teaching courses in the above areas, as well as contract archaeologists and many others in allied health science fields. People who are responsible for choosing textbooks, recommending library purchases, and obtaining various laboratory teaching materials (e.g., fossil casts), as well as researchers buying equipment for their projects all consult the journal. Students also read the journal, so advertising of field schools and other educational opportunities is also possible. Contact Kristin McCarthy at to discuss online or print advertising in AJPA.
