Seeks New Editor-in-Chief

In the summer of 2013, Dr. Walley Temple will end his term as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Surgical Oncology. The Search Committee now invites applications for the position of Editor-in-Chief. The new Editor-in-Chief will officially assume responsibility as soon as all preparations are made and duties are completely transferred. 

Candidates should be recognized as leaders in surgical oncology with a broad background in basic science and clinical medicine. Candidates should also possess strong leadership qualities, intellectual vision, international experience, organizational abilities, and experience with the editorial duties of a leading medical journal.

Award Earned for JSO Article

Marcia E. Bouton, PA, recently earned an American Academy of Physician Assistants publishing award for the article “Implementation of Educational Video Improves Patient Understanding of Basic Breast Cancer Concepts in an Undereducated County Hospital Population.” The article was featured in the January 2012 issue of the Journal of Surgical Oncology, and will be freely available for the months of May and June 2013.
