La Tex Class File

Papers are typeset, wherever possible, directly from the author's LaTeX file. Statistics in Medicine has its own LaTeX class files located here:

Authors are encouraged to use these, although other class files can also be accepted.

Authors should supply the following files for typesetting:

  • The LaTeX source code (text, figure captions and tables, preferably in a single file), along with all other files needed for compiling. This is particularly important if authors have used any LaTeX style or class files, bibliography files (.bbl, .bst. .blg) apart from those used in the Statistics in Medicine class file. Author-defined macros should be kept to a minimum or avoided wherever possible.
  • Electronic graphics files for the illustrations in Encapsulated PostScript (EPS), PDF or TIFF format. Authors are requested not to create figures using LaTeX codes.
