Aims and Scope

From the Editor:
The Journal of Morphology is dedicated to publishing studies in functional, comparative, and evolutionary morphology. We publish hypothesis based research that addresses questions about animal morphology, functioning, and evolution. Based on our long tradition, we continue to seek publishing the best papers in animal morphology. Invertebrate morphology partners equally with vertebrate morphology and you can be assured that, following the dictum "Present the Science at its Best," we will help you to present your most important, most lasting work in depth and in detail in the Journal of Morphology.

Aims and Scope:

The Journal of Morphology welcomes articles of original research in cytology, protozoology, embryology, and general morphology. Articles generally should not exceed 35 printed pages. Preliminary notices or articles of a purely descriptive morphological or taxonomic nature are not included. No paper which has already been published will be accepted, nor will simultaneous publications elsewhere be allowed.

How to cite: To make sure that references to this journal are correctly recorded and resolved (for example in CrossRef or ISI Web of Science), please use the following abbreviated title in any citations: "J Morphol." Punctuation may vary according to the style of the citing journal.
