Research In Nursing & Health announces a new Editor for 2012!
Wiley-Blackwell is pleased to announce that Margaret H. Kearney, PhD, RN, FAAN has been named as the new editor of Research In Nursing & Health. Dr. Kearney, a professor of nursing and Vice Provost and University Dean of Graduate Studies at the University of Rochester, will assume the position in September, 2012, following Dr. Judith Gedney Baggs, who has led the journal successfully for nearly 10 years.
Dr. Kearney will build upon the journal’s commitment to publishing the very best nursing and health research. She observed, “My goal is to uphold the journal’s tradition of top- quality research and scholarship, while working to expand submissions from all health-focused disciplines in the US and internationally.”
A nurse and nurse researcher for more than 30 years, Dr. Kearney has contributed to the nursing scholarly community in various editorial roles, including Associate Editor and peer reviewer on the editorial boards for Research in Nursing & Health and the Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic & Neonatal Nursing (JOGNN). She is widely published and highly cited on various nursing topics.
Dr. Kearney earned a PhD in Nursing from the University of California, San Francisco; a MS in Nursing from Boston College and a BS in Nursing from Columbia University.
