1. In order to speed the editorial evaluation process and reduce times from submission to publication, Computer Applications in Engineering Education is now pleased to offer web-based submission and peer review. To submit your manuscript online, please:
* Point your browser to .
* To login, enter your User ID and Password into the boxes provided, then click "Log In." If you are unsure about whether or not you have an account, or have forgotten your password, enter your e-mail address into the "Password Help" section to the right of the screen. If you do not have an account, click on the "Create Account" Link at the top right of the screen. Subsequently, to monitor the progress of your manuscript throughout the review process, just login periodically and check your Author Center.
* Let the system guide you through the 7-step submission process. Please be sure to pay special attention to instructions given at the top of each page.
* You will be restricted to uploading the following file types for your text: .rtf, .doc, and for your figures, you will be restricted to file types .tif and .eps. OTHER FILE TYPES ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR PRODUCTION PURPOSES. The Journal requires separate files for your text, tables, and graphical material. Do not embed figures or tables in the document. If you submit non-conforming material, this may slow review and publication. Please use WORD’s “Save As” option to save your document as an older (.doc) file type.
* All submissions are kept strictly confidential. Online help is available to you at all times during the process at . You are also able to exit and re-enter the process at any stage before finally "submitting" your work.

Copyright Transfer Agreement: If your paper is accepted, the author identified as the formal corresponding author for the paper will receive an email prompting them to login into Author Services; where via the Wiley Author Licensing Service (WALS) they will be able to complete the license agreement on behalf of all authors on the paper. For authors signing the copyright transfer agreement: If the OnlineOpen option is not selected the corresponding author will be presented with the copyright transfer agreement (CTA) to sign. 3. Pre-Submission English-Language Editing Services. Manuscripts must be written in English. For authors whose native language is not English, language editing and translation services are offered by Wiley at

4. Manuscripts should be submitted typed double-spaced on one side only on standard 8 1/2 x 11-inch (21.5 x 28-cm) paper with 1-inch (2.5-cm) margins. An abstract of not more than 50 words should be included. Authors should supply up to five key words or phrases that characterize their manuscript.

Manuscripts should not be more than 25 pages long (11 typeset pages) including artwork. The paper should be reasonably subdivided into sections and, if necessary, subsections. The references should be numbered consecutively in the order of their appearance and should be complete, including authors' initials, the title of the paper, the date, page number, and the name of the journal or sponsoring society. Please compile references on a separate sheet at the end of the manuscript. See the examples below.

References: List references in alphabetical order by the lead author's last name. In text citations should use the # sign in brackets to represents the order that the citation is mentioned in the text of the paper. For example, [5] would indicate that this is the fifth citation found in the text.

Where possible, material intended for footnotes should be inserted in the text as parenthetical material. Please supply numbers and titles for all tables. All table titles should have an explanatory heading. Please supply legends for all figures on a separate page. sheet.

5. Figures should be professionally prepared and submitted in a form suitable for reproduction. Digital artwork should be submitted in tiff or eps formats only.

Color. Color illustrations may be submitted to the journal. Authors are asked to bear the cost of printing the color illustrations. Charges for reproducing the art will be approved by the author before processing. Color proofs will be sent to the contributor for approval prior to final printing. Any cropping of the color figure should be clearly indicated.

6. It is the author's responsibility to obtain written permission to reproduce material which has appeared in another publication.

7. A covering letter must accompany each submission indicating the name, address, and telephone number of the author to whom all correspondence is to be addressed. An affiliation must be supplied for each author.
