2012_30/2012Transition-Metal Complexes Containing the Dinucleating Tetra-N-Dentate 3,5-Bis(2-pyridyl)pyrazole (Hbpp) Ligand – A Robust Scaffold for Multiple Applications Including the Catalytic Oxidation of Water to Molecular Oxygen (Eur. J. Inorg. Chem. 30/2012)

The cover picture shows the Catalan clown “Tortell Poltrona” (Jaume Mateu) from “Circ Cric” amazingly supporting a vast number of intertwined chairs only with his chin. Every one of these chairs represents one of the multiple applications that transition metal complexes bearing the dinucleating tetra-N-dentate ligand Hbpp have found in the fields of catalysis (epoxidation, hydrogen transfer and water oxidation) and fundamental coordination chemistry (supramolecular chemistry, linkage isomerization and magnetism), which are also strongly intertwined as are Tortell's chairs. Details are presented in the Microreview by A. Llobet, X. Sala, et al. on p. 4775 ff. The picture is a courtesy of Toni Llobet-Nogués.
