Meghan Campbell, Editor, studied chemistry at Northwestern University, IL, USA (B.A. 2003). She then earned a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology from Johns Hopkins University, MD, USA (2009) where she studied cisplatin derivatives of triplex-forming oligonucleotides in the lab of Paul Miller. Following this, she did a postdoc in the group of Jesper Wengel at the University of Southern Denmark in which she developed selection methods for aptamers containing locked nucleic acids. She began as an Assistant Editor at Angewandte Chemie in 2012 and joined ChemBioChem as an Associate Editor in September 2013. She has been the Deputy Editor for the journal since July 2014.
Lisa Abel, Managing Editor, studied chemistry and French at the Universities of Sussex (UK) and Nantes (France; BSc 1991), followed by an MSc in Science and Technology Policy at the Science Policy Research Unit (Sussex). After working for a few years in London, she returned to Sussex to study for an MSc in medicinal chemistry with Jim Hanson (1998). She joined Wiley-VCH in May 2000 as an Editorial Assistant for Chemistry—A European Journal, before becoming Managing Editor of ChemBioChem in 2003, then also of ChemMedChem from its inception.
Peter Gölitz, Founding Editor, has been the Editor-in-Chief of Angewandte Chemie since 1982. He joined the publishers in 1980 after he earned his PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Göttingen (Germany) with Professor Armin de Meijere in 1978 and spent time as a postdoc at IBM in San José, CA (USA) and the University of Hamburg (Germany). He is the Founding Editor of Advanced Materials, Chemistry—A European Journal, ChemBioChem, Chemistry—An Asian Journal, and ChemMedChem, among others.
