ChemBioChem: Increasing Impact
ChemBioChem Editors and Board Members were pleased to learn that the journal's impact factor rose from its first ever value of 2.920 (2001) to 3.233 (2002). This places this young and exciting journal right among its most important competitors and confirms it is on the best way to achieving its integrating mission on the interface of chemistry and biology.
Launched in 2000 as an offspring from Angewandte Chemie, ChemBioChem, A European Journal of Chemical Biology, is today supported by 14 European Chemical Societies. Topics covered range from complex carbohydrates through peptides/proteins to DNA/RNA, from combinatorial chemistry and biology to signal transduction, from catalytic antibodies to protein folding, from bioinformatics and structural biology to drug design—to name just a few topics.
