Inside Cover: Aryl Diazonium for Biomolecules Immobilization onto SPRi Chips (ChemPhysChem 18/2009)
A method for the immobilization of proteins at the surface of surface plasmon resonance imaging (SPRi) chips is presented on p. 3273 by C. A. Marquette et al. The technology is based on the electro-deposition of a 4-carboxymethyl aryl diazonium (CMA) monolayer (11×1012 molecules mm−2). The picture shows the simple route to surface functionalisation and as background, SPRi images of the obtained protein microarrays.
