Wolfgang Jäger Receives Dr. Barbara Mez-Starck Prize
This year's Dr. Barbara Mez-Starck Prize has been awarded to Wolfgang Jäger (University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada) for his studies of doped hydrogen clusters and small molecules in superfluid helium nanodroplets using microwave and high-resolution infrared spectroscopy. The scientist received the recognition during the 24th Austin Symposium on Molecular Structure and Dynamics, which took place in Dallas (USA) at the beginning of March this year. The Mez-Starck Prize is considered one of the major international awards for research in molecular structure and high-resolution molecular spectroscopy. Former winners include David Rankin (UK, 2007), Jens-Uwe Grabow (Germany, 2009) Harald Møllendal (Norway, 2010) and James E. Boggs (USA, 2010).
