ChemPhysChem 01/2014: Divalent neighbors

ChemPhysChem 01/2014: Divalent neighborsBF2-chelated dipyrromethenes, BODIPYs, known as "porphyrin's little sister", are reviewed by M. E. El-Khouly, S. Fukuzumi, and F. D'Souza as promising building blocks for constructing artificial photosynthetic models. H. Lischka, M. Kertesz et al. investigate pancake bonding by calculating the unique features of the inter-radical interactions within a stacked potassium tetracyanoethylene dimer at high quantum chemical multireference levels, whereas P. Armand and colleagues report the high-temperature elastic moduli of flux-grown α-GeO2 single crystals. Q. Sun and co-workers present phthalocyanine-based organometallic nanocages and their application as gas storage materials. Lastly, W. Schmickler reports the electrochemical deposition and dissolution of divalent metal ions.
