ChemPhysChem is proud to present its special issue on electrochemistry, which contains Concept-type articles from leading international experts in this dynamic and flourishing field. This issue was produced under the editorial coordination of Prof. Christian Amatore (ENS Paris, France). "It would be impossible to give non-electrochemists even a flavor of all areas in which sound electrochemical work is performed," he writes in his editorial. Today indeed, electrochemists reach as far as the planet Mars, as shown in this exciting issue.

From the Contents:

  • K. Tohda, M. Gratzl: A Microscopic, Continuous, Optical Monitor for Interstitial Electrolytes and Glucose
  • D. Mehta, H. S. White: Finite-Element Analysis of Magnetic Field Driven Transport at Inlaid Platinum Microdisk Electrodes
  • S. P. Kounaves: Electrochemical Approaches for Chemical and Biological Analysis on Mars

As always, full text is available through Wiley InterScience.
