ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING IN JAPAN (0424-7760), which appears monthly except semimonthly in January, April, July, and November, publishes research papers on power generation (including magnetohydrodynamics, fusion and direct energy conversion), transmission and distribution, power systems integration, control and economics, environmental impact of power facilities, insulation research, generators, motors and other electrical machinery, electrical transportation (including magnetic levitation), instrumentation and telemetry, high-power solid state devices (including superconductors), industrial control systems (including applications of robotics and artificial intelligence to above areas of electrical engineering), plus related areas of applied mathematics, physics, chemistry and mechanical engineering. The views expressed in this journal are exclusively those of the Japanese authors and editors. The Japanese authors are generally consulted regarding the translation of their papers, but are not responsible for the published English versions.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING IN JAPAN consists of translations of papers from Denki Gakkai Ronbunshi , the Transactions of the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan , which is published in four monthly sections (parts A, B, C, and D, ISSN numbers 0385-4205, 0385-4213, 0385-4221, and 0913-6339, respectively), comprising 48 issues per year. Electrical Engineering in Japan is published by Wiley Periodicals, Inc., through Wiley Subscription Services, Inc., a Wiley Company, with the permission and cooperation of the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. The Editorial Board of Denki Gakkai Ronbunshi is headed by Hironori Hirata. The Associated Editors are headed by Toshiro Matsumura. The Editors of Parts A, B, C, D, and E are Futao Kaneko, Yoshinori Haraguchi, Yoshihiko Ozaki, Shinzo Tamai, and Shigeru Ando, respectively.

Wiley suggests that authors from non-English speaking countries have their manuscript reviewed and corrected by English Language Services before submission. Authors who want to have their paper checked and improved can contact any of these services before submission. Please note that this is an optional service, paid for by the author.
