TQEM Call for Papers

The primary audience for Environmental Quality Management includes environmental managers, engineers, quality directors, and other environmental professionals. Articles should be informative and analytical, but not narrowly technical. We seek material that will keep our readers up to date on both legal and practical developments in environmental management of business organizations.

Environmental Quality Management Honored at APEX Awards

Environmental Quality Management has won recognition from peers in the publishing industry with an APEX 2016 Award of Publication Excellence in the category of Magazines, Journals & Tabloids - 'Green'.

APEX 2016 Award

The winning Issue of Environmental Quality Management, Volume 24, Issue 3 (Spring 2015), embodies what our Journal offers to readers throughout the year: a mix of case-studies; research into new, “green” technologies, often using region-specific materials and methods; recycling and recovery of materials that can be toxic to the environment, but valuable when recovered and reused; cutting-edge information on topics vital to businesses, such as sustainability; the latest in environmental managements systems, social responsible systems, and health and safety systems; environmental public involvement; the latest in legal trends; and hands-on, how-to articles on a variety of topics. Moreover, in addition to the breadth of topics we cover, it is not unusual for us to receive submissions from six different continents (nothing from Antarctic yet). Our authors are environmental professionals, academics, attorneys, government officials, business persons, accountants, and economists, hands-on consultants, and students under the mentorship of educators and other professionals. We work intensively with our authors to ensure that we are presenting their information in the clearest and most accessible manner possible without sacrificing accuracy or completeness.

The APEX Awards for Publication Excellence is an annual competition for publishers, editors, writers and designers who create print, Web, electronic and social media. Communications Concepts, Inc. sponsors the APEX Awards, and advises professionals who write, edit and manage business communications, on best strategies and practices. Concepts publishes business communication reports, including Writer's Web Watch, an e-report for professional communicators, and special reports on topics such as corporate writing and Web publishing.

In the Twenty-eighth Annual APEX Awards, over 1,600 entries were evaluated and awards were given in 100 individual areas of excellence, within 11 main categories including: newsletters; magazines, journals and tabloids; annual reports; print media; electronic media; social media; websites; campaigns, programs and plans; writing; design and illustration; and one-of-a-kind publications.

According to the APEX 2016 judges, “The awards were based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence.”

Congratulations to our Editor Carol J. Forrest for this recognition of Publishing Excellence in the category of Green Writing.
