Symposium: Qualitative and Mixed-Methods for Policy Analysis
Submission Deadline: February 15, 2013
The Journal of Policy Analysis and Management (JPAM) invites submissions of papers for a special symposium on “Qualitative and Mixed-Methods for Policy Analysis.” The symposium will include papers that focus specifically on advances in these methodologies as well as papers that evaluate the efficacy and/or implementation of government programs, policies, laws and/or managerial innovations using these methods. Methods papers should contain a well-articulated methodological extension or further definition of the boundaries of policy research and analysis. Applied demonstrations of the usefulness of these methods must be focused on important programs, policies, laws or managerial innovations that have broad ramifications for policy makers. Papers from specific disciplinary perspectives will be accepted although we would like to encourage the submission of multidisciplinary papers.
Submissions for this symposium should be made through the regular online submission process for the journal at editorialexpress.com/jpam/. Please indicate with your submission that you would like your paper to be considered for this special symposium. Initial submissions for this symposium will be accepted until February 15, 2013. Dr. Kathryn Edin will serve as a special guest co-editor for this symposium along with JPAM editor-in-chief, Dr. Maureen Pirog.
