30 Years of Conducting Polymers - Free Access to Selected Articles

30 Years of Conducting Polymers - Free Access to Selected Articles2007 is a year of celebration and of commemoration for the worldwide community of chemists, physicists, engineers, and biochemists dealing with conducting polymers. This special issue of Macromolecular Rapid Communications on "30 Years of Conducting Polymers" has been guest-edited by Mario Leclerc (Quebec City) and includes comprehensive and timely review and feature articles together with a compilation of communications on new results.

It shows perspectives on the recent advances and the future trends in the controlled synthesis of new and "old" conjugated polymers and in their applications in various electronic and photonic devices, such as the fabrication of light-emitting diodes, field-effect transistors, photovoltaic cells, as well as their use in genomics and proteomics.
