Cover: The first direct organocatalytic ring-opening polymerization from cellulose fibers is presented. The synthesis was based on organocatalytic bulk ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of ε-caprolactone with cellulose cotton fiber and filter paper as the initiators. Organic acid catalysis provides a new method for the synthesis of valuable nanomaterials as well as polyesters for biomedical applications.
