Cover: Langmuir-Blodgett films of the cellulose derivative containing porphyrins, porphyrin-cellulose, were fabricated to construct the cellulose-based molecular photocurrent generation system. On visible light illumination of the LB monolayer film deposited on an ITO electrode, anodic photocurrents were observed. This is because porphyrins are located at a distance of approximately 1.03 nm along the cellulose backbone. Further details can be found in the article by K. Sakakibara,* Y. Ogawa, H. Kamitakahara, T. Takano, and F. Nakatsubo on page 1270.
